These divers are locked out of the bell for 4-8 hours at a time to complete the task set. The tools usually carried by the lads doing saturation diving are more the handy type than the bigger tools required for the task completion. Paint marker sticks to mark and measure the job, plastic retractable measuring tapes, 20 feet of 6mm rope (handy for all jobs), small liquid filled level, chicken legs (multi grips), small shifter, backup compass(helium bubbles can penetrate oil filled compasses), and cable ties.     

WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN AN UNDERWATER TOOL BAG.                                   

A good diver’s tool bag would be large enough to contain multiple general small tools and a small number of job/dive related tasks. Care is needed to avoid toolbads that are to big which will both be cumbersome and distracting to the diver and tend to encourage the individual to carry too much.

Commercial divers tool bags are made from a water resistant material that is both strong and tear resistant. A good divers underwater tool bag will have a large plastic zip to allow a diver wearing thick gloves to be able to easily open the divers tool bag. The opening on a divers underwater tool bag must be on the top to prevent tools from falling out and be large enough to allow easy rummaging for tools.

An underwater dive toolbag is a must for all professional, technical and  commercial divers.
